Overview
W Hoboken succeeds because of its location. Few hotels can match its combination of Manhattan views, waterfront access, and transportation convenience. While the property showed room for improvement during our visit, the foundation is in place for a much stronger experience following renovation.

Service
Staff throughout the property were friendly and eager to assist. The valet team in particular stood out as a genuine highlight, professional, efficient, and personable. The front desk experience, however, felt transactional and lacked the personalized touch expected of the W brand.
The Room
Guest rooms were a clear strength of the property. Well-appointed and comfortable, many offering spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline. The rooms delivered on the W brand's design sensibility, even if other areas of the property fell short.
Food & Beverage
Dining options were adequate but unremarkable. The food and beverage program did not stand out as a destination in its own right, though the setting and views provide a strong backdrop for a casual meal or drinks.

The Verdict
W Hoboken benefits from one of the most desirable locations in the New York metropolitan area. The combination of waterfront positioning, incredible skyline views, and easy access to Manhattan creates a compelling stay. While the rooms, views, and valet service stand out, cleanliness concerns and a relatively ordinary front desk experience prevent the hotel from reaching its full potential. With renovations planned, W Hoboken appears well-positioned to become one of the area's top hotels.
Would We Return?
The location alone makes it worth returning, and with planned renovations, the full W experience could match the setting.

The Westin Grand Cayman is a resort that understands its greatest strength and leans into it. Seven Mile Beach is the centerpiece of the experience, and the resort makes it easy to enjoy with abundant seating, excellent access, and a relaxed atmosphere. While the property is beginning to show its age and the dining experience leaves room for improvement, the combination of location, beach quality, and friendly service creates a highly enjoyable stay.
